COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Are dental implants painful?

Most patients are surprised by how comfortable the procedure is. Dental implants are placed under local anesthesia, so you should not feel pain during the treatment. After the procedure, it is normal to have mild soreness or swelling for a few days, which is usually well controlled with prescribed medications. Most people return to their normal routine within 1–2 days. Our team uses modern, minimally invasive techniques to make your treatment as comfortable as possible.

How long does treatment take?

The timeline depends on your individual case. In many patients, the implant is placed in a single appointment that takes 30–60 minutes. The implant then usually needs 3–6 months to fuse naturally with the jawbone before the final crown is attached. In selected cases, a temporary tooth or even a tooth on the same day may be possible. During your consultation, we’ll assess your bone and oral health and provide a personalized treatment timeline.

Am I suitable for implants?

Most adults with one or more missing teeth are suitable candidates for dental implants. Healthy gums and adequate jawbone are important, but even if you have bone loss, procedures like bone grafting can often make implants possible. Conditions such as diabetes or smoking do not always rule out implants—they simply require careful planning. The best way to know is through a consultation, clinical examination, and a CBCT scan, after which we can recommend the most suitable treatment for you.

Can implants replace all my teeth?

Yes. Dental implants can replace a single missing tooth, multiple missing teeth, or even an entire set of teeth. Depending on your needs, we may recommend individual implants, implant-supported bridges, or full-arch solutions such as All-on-4®️ or All-on-6®️. During your consultation, we’ll evaluate your oral health, bone condition, and expectations to recommend the best option for a strong, natural-looking, and long-lasting smile.

How long do implants last?

Dental implants are designed to be a long-term solution for missing teeth. With good oral hygiene, regular dental check-ups, and proper care, the implant itself can last 20 years or more, and in many cases, a lifetime. The crown attached to the implant may need replacement after 10–15 years due to normal wear, but the implant can often continue to function perfectly for many years.

What if I have low bone?

Having less bone does not automatically mean you can’t get dental implants. Modern implant dentistry offers several advanced solutions, including bone grafting, guided implant surgery, pterygoid implants, zygomatic implants, short implants, and specialized full-arch treatments. The best option depends on your bone condition and overall oral health. A CBCT scan helps us evaluate your bone accurately and create a personalized treatment plan that is safe, predictable, and long-lasting.

Can I get fixed teeth instead of dentures?

Yes. If you’re tired of loose or uncomfortable dentures, dental implants can provide a fixed, secure, and natural-looking alternative. Implant-supported teeth stay firmly in place, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence—without worrying about slipping dentures. Depending on your condition, options such as All-on-4®️, All-on-6®️, pterygoid implants, or zygomatic implants may allow you to enjoy fixed teeth even if you have significant bone loss. During your consultation, we’ll recommend the most suitable solution for your needs.

Is EMI available?

Yes. We offer No-Cost EMI options to make your implant treatment more affordable. You can spread the cost into easy monthly installments without compromising on the quality of your care. During your consultation, our team will explain the available EMI plans and help you choose the option that best fits your budget.
